Cibor, Inc. has openings for the following position:

  • Staff Geotechnical Engineer

Required to do testing, field sampling, and engineering analysis of soil. Laboratory tests include basic soil tests including soil classification, sieve analysis and UC/UU tests, as well as advanced soil tests such as CU-triaxial test. Field work incorporates soil logging and sampling, and site reconnaissance. Also required to provide geotechnical designs and analysis of soil for its strength and stability by doing such analysis as slope analysis, seepage analysis and pile/shaft capacity analysis. Required to write geotechnical report including geotechnical recommendations, material selection, and construction considerations.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 1 year’s relevant work experience. In lieu of experience, we will accept 12 graduate credit hours in geotechnical course work such as Soil Mechanics, Foundations Engineering, and Earth Structures.
